I am Pettavia Madibana. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg with majors in Law and Politics. It is by virtue of my interest in political science and events that I was elected as a member of the Wits Mail and Guardian Society executive team. It is from that experience that I realized the major role politics and the government of South Africa play in judicial procedures. Given the inaccessibility of legal services in marginalized communities like my own, I wish to bridge the gap that exists between the working-, middle-, and upper classes in this regard.
