Yasmin P. Mashaba is an ANC Youth League member and a well-known young leader in her community. She serves her community wholeheartedly in her position as a role model, motivator, and community organiser at the Protea South Community Project, as well as the Thandanani Orphanage for children affected by HIV and AIDS. Her aspirations and dreams with regards to the ASRI Future Leaders Community Project are to further develop and gain skills, while also nurturing her ability to be innovative in creating solutions for the betterment of civil society. She believes civil society centres the human rights of people who come from deprived or underprivileged backgrounds, and helps them gain access to success, prosperity and progress.
