Mxolisi Masango studied at the University of Pretoria and obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Law in 2015 – majoring in International Relations. He is currently pursuing his postgraduate studies in Law. In 2015, Mxolisi completed the Legal Vacation Program with Corruption Watch, and has served on the House Committee of Kollege Residence as the State Secretary and Treasurer at the Sundowns Tuks Branch. He was also the Mentor at Junior Tukkie. Mxolisi is actively involved in community work with a key focus on outreach projects at orphanages and old age homes. In 2014, he received the Community Engagement Certificate from the Junior Tukkie Society for outstanding community work in that year. His aspirations for the ASRI Future Leaders Programme are to acquire the necessary leadership skills and experience that will enable him to become an efficient leader in society, and go on to become an influential and prominent leader in government and civil society.
